As a result of great sponsorship and T-shirt sales, we were able to raise around 400,000 Taka to support the Kajol Project. This fund will empower so many students to receive an education. It is truly wonderful that the whole ISD community came together to support this worthy cause.
Our youngest participants, the Early Years students, enthusiastically raced around the ISD track, as the rest of the school cheered them on. The Secondary Students formed a circle around the field, acting as human posts for the little ones to navigate around. Up next were the G1 & 2 students & parents, who flew around the ISD loop four times, getting splashed with a different colour powder as they completed each lap!
Meanwhile, the Kajol students, G3-12 students, parents, and staff gathered at the front of the school getting ready to tackle the 5K loop around Bashundhara. As they passed by the colour stations, their teachers had too much fun dousing them with magical powder! It looked liked they had bathed themselves in tubs full of powder by the end of their 5,000m journey! We saw many smiles on everyone's faces and a supportive, cheering crowd at the finish line as they sprinted down the final stretch.
Thank you to all the Kajol students, participants, sponsors, and supporters for a very successful and energising Fun Run!
